OFF ROAD MOTORCYCLE RIDERS
Notice: Information received from NT Police states that off road motorcycle riders have been seen riding unregistered off road bikes around Robertson Barracks, Micket Creek, Brandt Road, Campbell Road, Thorngate Road, Holmes Jungle and Knuckey Lagoons areas. These riders have been reported driving on and crossing public roads, riding on verges and riding in conversation areas. If you have or are considering riding off road in NT you MUST abide by all relevant NT road rules. This means if you intend to drive on, beside or across public roads you MUST have a registered vehicle, obey all relevant traffic laws and be aware of NT conservation areas. If riders are found to be disobeying NT road rules, riding in conservation areas or creating a disturbance they will be subject to fines or possibly charges from NT Police or relevant Conservation/Environmental Protection Authorities. We remind you that some conservation areas contain places of significant cultural heritage and additionally that there are areas open to the public for hunting.
